Magical Tasmania

Mention 'Tasmania' to anyone who has visited, and they-like us- get a far-away look in their eyes and a tone of fond longing in their voices, when talking about their experiences. Tasmania does that; it's almost other-wordly ambience, it's magnificent scenery and it's fabulously friendly people set it far apart and in our view- way above and beyond Mainland Australia. Simply put- it is indeed a magical place, and our March- May 2007, six week Dyna Camper - home trip will live in our memories forever! Part of Australia it might be, yet it is unique. Being English by birth, it stirred in me memories of the country I left in 1968 with it's old Georgian homes, green, green fields and the glorious autumn colours in the deciduous trees. My partner Alan was drawn by the promised lure of Cockle Creek with the cleanest air in the Southern Hemipshere and the fishing. What we discovered on our journey far exceeded our expectations and we are delighted for the chance to share our journey .
