We left Cradle Mountain with the intention of staying at Launceston. On the way we stopped off at Tasmazia for a filling pancake feed and a wander in the maze. We drove through Sheffield to check out some of the murals before arriving in Launceston. We had enjoyed the peacefulness and natural surroundings of our cabin at Cradle Mountain, so were inclined to head out of town when looking for a place to stay. Before leaving Launceston we visited Cataract Gorge, a beautiful park right in the city! A nice spot for a Devonshire tea and some peacock watching! Evandale was one of the most picturesque towns we visited in Tasmania. We were hoping for a room at the Clarendon Arms Hotel, but they had no vacancies. What a stroke of luck that a lovely man was there at the pub and overheard that we needed a place to stay. He had renovated a shearing shed on his property and invited us to stay for a good rate. We got a lovely farm experience and a good sleep!
